Dr. Mark Hsiang En Lin

Dr. Mark H.E. Lin graduated from the University of Toronto in the Biochemistry Specialists honours program. He received his dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in which he was on theDean’s list for 4 consecutive years and finished within the top 5% of the class. He then completed a 1-year General Practice Residency program at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Ohio, where he received his training in hospital dentistry, intravenous sedation and advanced surgical training.
He practiced general dentistry for 13 years then returned to complete his postgraduate training in the specialty of Prosthodontics at the University of Toronto.
He continues to serve as an associate in dentistry as a surgical demonstrator in the postgraduate Prosthodontic discipline and staff at the Implant Prosthodontic Unit (IPU) and surgical/prosthodontic. He was a former “Assistant Professor” at the faculty of dentistry, former co-director of the postgraduate Prosthodontic program and former co-director of the implant Prosthodontic unit (IPU), discipline of Prosthodontics at the University of Toronto.
He conducted clinical research on the topic of “Advanced Anterior Implant Aesthetics” for his Master of Science thesis. He has authored and published articles in highly acclaimed peer-review scientific journals. He is currently an Editorial Board Member for Prosthodontics in the Oral Health journal. He also serves as an expert consultant for the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). In addition, he maintains a full-time specialty practice as a Prosthodontist at Toronto Dental Specialists with a focus on full mouth reconstructions, dental implant surgery, various grafting procedures, implant prosthetics and management of implant complications. Dr. Lin is the president and founder of The Institute for Dental Excellence (T.I.D.E.), providing quality continuing education for the dentalprofessions. Dr. Lin provides clinical mentoring to dentists for live patient procedures performed under his direct supervision.
He is a Fellow and Diplomate with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (I.C.O.I.). He is also a graduate and Fellow with the Misch Implant Institute. Finally, he is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (A.B.O.I.). He is a faculty member with the International Team for Implantology (ITI) in Canada and former co-director of the University of Toronto’s Aesthetics residency program. He is a Fellow and serves as an Examiner with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Lin has given numerous lectures, presentations and courses on the topics of Implant Dentistry (Surgical/Prosthetics), live surgical and prosthetic demonstrations with patient treatment, human cadaver surgical and implant courses, anterior implant aesthetics, implant complications and practice management. Over the past 20 years, he has given more than 300 lectures at various different professional and scientific meetings in Canada, U.S.A, Taiwan, Germany, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Korea, Japan and over ten different cities in China.

Dr. Bo Huang
DMD, MSc, PhD, MSc (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D.(C)
Dr. Bo Huang is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She had been a practicing dentist in China after earning her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D) degree at the Air Force Medicine University (formerly known as the Fourth Military Medicine University) in Xian and her Master of Science degree at Peking University in Beijing, China. After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Huang completed her PhD in biomaterials at the Faculty of Dentistry and Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto.
Upon completion of dentistry and material science degrees, Dr. Huang pursued her passion for dentistry by completing a 3-year Prosthodontics program at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. As a board-certified prosthodontist in Canada, her scope of practice includes restoring oral function and esthetics by removable or/and fixed prostheses, replacing missing teeth by implant dentistry with both surgical and prosthetic approaches and managing various implant complications.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Huang has been a recipient of various awards, scholarships and research grants, including Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST), Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Acta Student Award, Nobel Biocare Research Fellowship in Prosthodontics and Dentsply Sirona Research Fellowship in Prosthodontics. Dr. Huang holds membership at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association, International Association for Dental Research, and the American College of Prosthodontists.

Dr. Max Li
DDS, MSc (Cert. Prosth), FRCD(C)
Dr. Max Li began his academic career in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario in his hometown of London, Ontario. He then moved to Toronto and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Toronto where he developed an early passion for prosthodontics, leading him to pursue a 3-year Masters specialty program at the University of Manitoba. During that time, he concentrated his studies on fixed, removable, as well as implant prosthodontics. Dr. Li is a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics.

Dr. Li focuses his practice around creating a healthy and functional dentition along with esthetic smiles. He enjoys combining traditional concepts with modern day techniques and materials to cater to his patient’s needs. Dr. Li is also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry where he passes on his knowledge and passion of prosthodontics to future young dentists.

Dr Jae W. Chang

Dr. Jae W. Chang is a nationally recognized periodontist and implantologist known for his advanced training, research excellence, and commitment to clinical education. With over two decades of experience in Ontario, he blends restorative, surgical, and evidence-based expertise to elevate patient care and guide the next generation of clinicians.

Dr. Chang’s academic journey includes implantology training with Dr. George Zarb, an MSc in Oral Implantology from JW Goethe University in Germany, and specialty training in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia, where he earned consecutive teaching awards. His research in implant stability and peri-implant disease has been showcased at major international congresses, including the ITI and the American Academy of Periodontology.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Chang also directs the Toronto ITI Study Club and teaches at UBC and the University of Toronto. He practices in Etobicoke and is widely regarded for his engaging teaching style, clinical precision, and passion for advancing implant dentistry.

Dr. Alice F.C. Li
D.D.S., M.Sc (Endodontics), Ph.D, F.R.C.D.(C), Diplomate A.B.E.
Dr. Alice (Fang-Chi) Li obtained her Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Endodontics) from the University of Toronto. She grew up in Taiwan and practiced as an endodontist in teaching hospitals before moving to Canada. Dr. Li is warm, gentle and passionate about being a dentist/endodontist who cares about her patients’ needs. She has received many international and national awards in the field of endodontics including the top resident award from the American Association of Endodontists and the first place of student research award from Canadian Association for Dental Research.
Besides being a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a board certified endodontist in Canada, Dr. Li also earned the prestigious diplomate of American Board of Endodontics. Currently, Dr. Li works as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, serves as a scientific board member for peer-reviewed journals as well as continues her research in University of Toronto. She is a member of the Ontario Society of Endodontics, Canadian Academy of Endodontics, American Association of Endodontists and Canadian/ International Association for Dental Research.

Dr. Stephen Ing
PB.Sc., D.D.S. M.Sc. (Anes)
Dr. Stephen Ing graduated in 1999 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. In 2008, he completed his three year postgraduate training in dental anesthesia at the University of Toronto. This program is unique in that it is the only one of its kind in Canada that provides focused training in sedation and general anesthesia for dental treatment. In fact, Dr. Ing is one of only a small group of dentists in Canada who have received training in both dentistry and anesthesiology. He is a diploma of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a certified specialist in dental anesthesia registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
